FEAR LESS?

Possibly washed under the bulk of yesterday's PREVIEWS comics solicitations was the news that DAREDEVIL: BLACK AND WHITE #1 will be out this August. This is important to me because, well, among other things I'm drawing a good chunk of it. Here's a detail of some pencils from the story:

I was really fortunate to be asked in, a very big thanks to Brunner who was unfortunately unable to take the job but recommended me. The dude's too cool to be a saint, so lets call him one of my favorite sinners.

It's shaping up to be a fun project, very much in the vein of those great BATMAN B&W books from a few years past. Check out the classy David Aja cover:

Of all the Marvel characters Daredevil has always been one that I've had a lot of love for, but probably the coolest thing about it is revisiting the work of major influences like Miller and Mazzuchelli and the underrated Nocenti/Romita/Williamson (with Leonardi fill in) stuff I read as a kid. I actually bought a bunch of the latter at a dollar bin sale not long ago. Sufficed to say I'm trying to drop in a bunch of nods to that it all . Wish me luck.

Anyways, shameless self promotion over. More soon...
