SCALPED #43

According to Diamond, SCALPED #43 reaches stands this week... (click image to enlarge)

In the Woods

SCALPED #43
Written by JASON AARON; Art by JASON LATOUR; color by GIULIA BRUSCO, Cover by JOCK

"Along the border between Nebraska and the Prairie Rose Indian reservation, Sheriff Wooster Karnow is a bit of a legend; at least according to him. In this stand-alone issue, when a grizzled U.S. Marshal comes to town on the trail of a dangerous fugitive, Karnow will have to prove he's more than just a lot of talk – or die trying."

As I've said several times before, this one is really special to me. I hope you'll pick it up and even more I hope you enjoy it. Comparing this book to the any other medium is sloppy and unfair but I really do sort of feel like I got to be Steve Buscemi walking on as Tony Soprano's cousin for 22 pages. Which is also sloppy and unfair to Buscemi, but it's not like he reads this shit.

So thanks to Jason, Guera, Will, Giulia and Mark. Y'all make a mother fucker look good--- or at least like less of a jerk.

More soon...

  1. Is the whole story going to be in black and white? Because tones looks so awesome with your work.

  2. Well thanks, but no, Giulia Brusco is the regular colorist and she did a great job on the issue. Fingers crossed it prints well.

  5. I just got my issue #43 this morning, went through it & as i already told you in NY - you're V.E.R.Y. obviously good & clearly in possession of a wonderful talent. It jumps out at me on every page.
Thank you mate, your type of senses simply communicate/talk so easy to me (first beer is my call).

  6. Hey Guera,

You don't know how much those kind words mean to me, sir. It was an incredible task to live up to the work you and Jason have done so far. If you think I've done so then I have! I might be planning a trip your way for spring or summer-- if so first round is on ME!
