Chapel Hill Signed

I had a good time at the Chapel Heel Comics signing. A few snaps of the signing and sketches I did:

Capto Ameriface #616

A page from Captain America #616 or Capto Ameriface as it's become lovingly known around here. Written by Cullen Bunn , drawn by myself & tag team colored with Rico Renzi.

CAPAMERICA-616-10

I think they may be releasing a few more images from our story. If so I'll pass them on. It's the 70th Anniversary issue and ours is just 12 pages of a 100 page giant filled with talent. See more HERE .

DORIS THE FINKASAURUS

Tried doing pen doodles of the Beasties from back in the day when they still looked like jerk offs. I never knew Ad Rock had a Silver Surfer tattoo.

*I think it also helps to be a big old human mess every now and then too.

Field Trips

Just a few drawings from the sketchbook today. A life doodle done on my "commute":

Commuter

An old drawing/brush test I found:

TREE- study '09

If your predilections run more towards Superheroes, I'm told Marvel is running a preview of the new Captain America story I just finished and I'll be able to share them soon.

In other news, the good folks at Chapel Hill Comics will are having me up for a signing this weekend. I hope you'll stop by:

Domo Arigato Mr. Ro-Butt-O

I don't suspect I'm known for drawing tech, but like every red blooded American boy I did draw a lot of robots growing up. Once I even submitted a Transformers design to Hasbro and got a nice form letter back. Made my year.

Domo Arigato Mr. Ro-butt-o

This one is supposed to be 20 years old, so I tried not to go too wild and futuristic. This guy doesn't see any action, but there are a lot of robots in this story . I'm grasping at a vague mix of Steran-Kirby, Clement Sauve , the aforementioned old Transformers and industrial whatever I used to see around my dad's warehouse growing up.

Anyway, more soon...

Lost in the Woods (again)

Got on kind of a roll with a crappy pen and ended up making up some trees. I don't regularly recommend that, but it mostly worked out this time---

Woods2

Drawing Trees is more relaxing and fun than it should be, a travesty that it's not high on the Ron Swanson Pyramid of Greatness.
